The reason I read Neville's books and other books of the kind is to be reminded again and again of the importance of right thinking. I love Neville Goddard's books, this was the best book yet that I have read. As adults we forget how to use our imagination with the worries of this world. Neville writes that imagination is life.
Plane and simple language, conveying effectively, without bombastic promises (unlike too many new age "gurus') the power of imagination and how we can benefit from it. Any book by Neville is as good as 5 stars.
This book is fantastic and transports the reader to a new way of thinking. I do find that I need to be in a quiet place when reading Neville's books as I tend to analyze each passage to better understand and feel the message he is sharing with the reader. If you're questioning why things happen in life then I would highly recommend this book.
This was my second Neville Goddard book. Both have been eye-opening and thought provoking. Awakened Imagination was short and to the point. It's a quick read to expose you to the positive side of imagination and how to use it. I am a believer in the power of positive thinking and this serves a guide and reminder. This is a good book to revisit on occasion to keep yourself on track and open-minded to the limitless possibilities of our creator in us.
Everything I've ever read and studied by Mr. Neville contains excellent, practical Christian wisdom, including this work. However, chapter four, The Pruning Shears of Revision has me seriously confused. He seems to imply (at least to me) that to change or correct how a situation has occurred is to revise it in my mind to my liking. That, on the surface, is fine except for one issue What if it was me who was and/or is wrong in the situation? What if it was me who caused to issue? What gives me the right to make a situation go my way if I was in the wrong?
Like I said (and I reread the chapter several times trying to understand his wisdom in a different, more correct way), maybe it is just me but, I feel this is a very narrow view to take regarding life's lessons and if anyone can
help me see the true meaning, I'd appreciate it greatly.
The rest of the work is excellent and most especially chapter five, The Coin Of Heaven.
This is one of many books that help the spiritual seeker learn how to manifest things in their lives. It's true that the imagination is the portal and emotions must be "wrapped around" the imagined thing desired. I've begun to find myself having good experiences with this method and I recommend this book to begin to learn this skill. Of course it takes practice. Remember there are no coincidences. Anything that manifests after you've placed your "order" is the real deal. Be grateful every time you make progress. In fact, be grateful everyday success or not. It helps.
Excellent. Neville speaks 100% from the heart. He was never about selling books or marketing old ideas in new packaging. If you really want to understand your power and ability to create your life the way you want to, read Neville and return to him often. His books are relatively "thin" because he just got right to the point, no fillers and fluff. I believe he channels his teachings.
